Between the lines

Between writing for class…

Between writing for work…

Between taking 15 hours this semester, 9 of which are basically useless fluff hours…

Between working an 15 hours-a-week on top of my classes…

Between all of that is the time I have to enjoy my senior year — and I wouldn’t have it any other way; the problem with that is there is hardly enough time in between all of the “in betweens” for the little things, like this Blog.

There will still be content. Stay tuned in the coming weeks, when I have a minor break in my schedule.

Don’t back down

(I know I haven’t been writing a lot lately; I’ll get into that in another post later)

Saturday will be a huge day for Texas Christian University.

I’m a senior, and four years ago when I was applying to come here, I would have never imagined a lot of things that are happening now: we are undefeated and coming into a week 11 match-up #4 across the polls/rankings; Amon G. Carter stadium will be completely sold out for a Mountain West Conference match up; TCU is receiving whispers of as a Rose Bowl contender; and biggest of all, ESPN’s College Gameday will be broadcasting live from our campus on Saturday.

I’ll reiterate, Saturday will be a HUGE day for my school.

To match the excitement, Nike was gracious enough to include TCU in it’s rivalry week uniforms. The uniforms introduce the new Nike Pro Combat line of team apparel, which is lighter, retains less moisture and provides more protection for a game of increasing pace.

For one already special day, TCU and nine other large universities (Texas, Florida, LSU, VaTech, etc.) will don a revolutionary uniform system consisting of completely re-designed base layers, jerseys and accessories.

Go Frogs!

Here are some high-res pictures (from Nike Media) of the new Nike Pro Combat uniform for TCU:

The Sega Genesis debuted in North America. Hats off to childhood!

I remember playing the Spider-man game and Joe Montana’s Sports Talk Football for countless hours when I was a little kid, but the real star for the Sega was Sonic the Hedgehog.
